Group Strength and Performance Classes: Soulful Strength Yoga + Ignite Fitness

Our group strength classes give you more than a workout.

We teach you how to set up, how to spot, what to look for, and why certain adjustments matter. You’ll learn from your own lifts, from coaching, and from watching the people training around you.

Over time, you begin to recognize good movement, understand what needs to change, and make better decisions on your own.

You won’t just learn what to do. You’ll learn how to move, what to look for, and why it works.

Class Descriptions

All Levels Weight Training

MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS at 8:00PM SATURDAYS at 9:00AM, 10:00AM, SUNDAYS at 10:45AM.

Each 50-minute class follows a structured strength and conditioning format, beginning with movement preparation and a primary strength or skill focus such as squats, deadlifts, kettlebell swings, presses, carries, or introductory power exercises. From there, we’ll move into full-body work using barbells, dumbbells, machines, cables, and bodyweight exercises.

We use the Train Heroic App to track your workouts, monitor your progress, and receive alternative exercise prescriptions based on your current ability.

You’ll learn proper technique, how to choose appropriate weights, how hard to work, and how to use different training formats such as straight sets and supersets.

This class is built to deliver results over a long period, but is also designed to build a foundation for more advanced strength and performance classes. As your technique, confidence, and strength improve, you’ll be better prepared to take on heavier lifts, more complex movements, and more demanding training.

Soulful Strength Barbell Club (5×5)

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00pm, Sundays at 9:00am.

Soulful Strength Barbell Club is built around the 5×5 method, a simple, time-tested approach to developing maximal strength.

Many people exercise regularly but rarely train specifically to increase their maximal strength. Some are intimidated by heavier weights, while others simply aren’t familiar with the benefits of lifting heavy.

Maximal strength is your body’s ability to produce force. Developing that strength makes everyday physical tasks easier, improves your ability to lift and carry heavier objects, and builds a foundation for athletic performance and long-term physical independence.

Training with progressively heavier weights also provides a powerful stimulus for maintaining and building muscle, strengthening bones, and improving coordination and confidence under load. These benefits become increasingly important as we age.

Unlike workouts focused primarily on muscular endurance or cardiovascular conditioning, Barbell Club emphasizes lifting heavier weights for fewer repetitions, with adequate rest between sets. This allows you to focus on technique, recover between efforts, and gradually increase the amount of weight you can lift.

Classes focus on five foundational barbell movements (and Pullups/Lat Pulldowns):

  • Squat
  • Deadlift
  • Bench Press
  • Overhead Press
  • Barbell Row

You’ll work through a structured strength program with coaching on proper technique, appropriate weight selection, and progressive overload. The goal isn’t to lift your absolute maximum every session, but to consistently develop your strength over time.

This 90-minute class is appropriate for newer lifters who have completed our Barbell Foundations class, as well as experienced lifters looking for a consistent, structured strength program.

Expect focused coaching, measurable progress, and a supportive group environment where everyone can work toward becoming stronger.
