Weather & Inclement Conditions Policy
To ensure fairness and consistency for everyone, we use a clear, objective standard when making weather-related decisions in regards to late cancelations and refunds.
Official Weather Source
We rely on the hourly temperature reported by the National Weather Service (weather.gov) for our studio location.
Snow and Ice Late Cancelation Refund Policy
• If the National Weather Service reports a temperature below 35°F and there is ice, water or snow on the roads at the scheduled class start time, you may cancel your booking at any time before class begins due to ice-related travel concerns and receive a full refund. You must contact the studio by e-mail, phone or text to cancel (“late” cancelations are not allowed through the app). If no contact has been made prior to class start time, a refund will not be issued.
• If the reported temperature is 35°F or above, refunds or credits will not be issued for cancelations within three hours of class, according to our standard cancelation policy.
• If the reported temperature is 35°F or above and the teacher cannot make it to class without giving a 3+ hour notice, all students registered for the class will receive a refund for the canceled class AND and one additional free class.
Forecast vs. Class Time
• Weather forecasts can change.
• Decisions are based on the hourly temperature at class start time, not earlier forecasts or overnight conditions.
Communication
• If a class is canceled due to weather, students will be notified as early as possible via email and/or text.
• If no cancellation notice is sent, classes are expected to run as scheduled.
Personal Travel Decisions
We understand that road conditions can vary by location. Each student is encouraged to make the best personal decision for their own safety; however, refunds or credits will follow the policy outlined above.
